Ready or not, it’s here… the teen years. For some parents, this can be a scary time, and why not? The statistics on teen drug use, pregnancy, bullying and even suicide is alarming, leaving a parent confused and frustrated.
Entering the teen years can be a difficult time in the life of your teen as well. The adolescent teen will face new challenges such as peer pressure, finding their “fit” in the family as a teen, as well as biological, psychological, and social pressure.
For Our Kids Parenting and Co-Parenting Services understand your concerns. Our teen parenting class will provide you with the knowledge, tools and skills needed to parent effectively. You will receive parenting tips on dealing with angry and troubled teens, teens dealing with stress and depression, as well as other issues facing our teens. We also provide great resources on parenting books and referrals, as well as lessons on how to co-parent, your teen when living separated from the other co-parent.
ANGER
Recognizing and managing your child’s anger is important. Teenagers, in particular, go through some troubling times as they progress through their teenage years. Hormones are developing in their body, and the changes are happening daily. With the added stress of divorce or separation of parents, many have difficulties dealing with their issues and need help.
