Help parents, whether living together as partners, or from separate homes, focus on the needs of their children through parent education, communication and observation.  Our goal is to make parenting a rewarding experience for both parents and child.

“Parents want the best for their children, and understand that children of today have a voice.”  They are crying out for positive parenting,  structure in the home, and a sense of direction.  When both parents are no longer living in the same home, a child may wonder, “Where do I fit?” “Am I too divorced?” At For Our Kids Parenting and Co-Parenting Services, we will give you “easy to learn,” parenting tools to help in parenting your children.

Trainers  are  certified  Parenting  Educators with lively classes that will both educate and support parents with resources, materials and tools they can use immediately to effectively parent their child or teen. Our instructors are trained professionals in the fields of counseling, or education.

Our program includes the following:

  • Teach parenting skills in order to increase the effectiveness of parenting from two separate homes.
  • Make parents aware of the impact of parental conflict on children.
  • Assist parents in keeping children out of the middle of conflict.
  • Help parents identify what triggers anger or conflict and teaches them techniques of problem solving and negotiation.
  • Help parents identify and meet the needs of their children.
  • Encourage the positive involvement of both parents in the lives of their children.
  • Discuss some of the barriers encountered during parenting.
  • Establish a relationship with your children.
  • Increase knowledge and skills in dealing with children you may or may not see daily.
  • Provide information about resources of places you can go to get the additional help you may need.
  • Provide opportunities for positive interaction with children in a supervised setting.
  • Understand the impact of family change, parental separation and/or conflict on children, and how to keep children out of the middle.
